Bodybuilding
Large scale installation shown at Allkonstrummet, Mossutställningar, Stockholm, 2015.
Bodybuilding is an installation built entirely out of cardboard. My starting point in this work is something of an alternative version of le Corbusier’s famous ”Modulor”, an anthropometric scale of proportions based on a male body, standing with his with his one arm raised. In this case I have replaced ”the Modulor’s” 183 cm male body, with the exact measurement of my own body volume. Each object in the installation has this exact same volume, 0,0643m3, a measurement acquired from a digital full body scanning. The sculptures have the reduced expression of a smaller scale model and include everyday objects such as a chair and a bed, and more abstract geometric forms.
The installation was shown together with the photographic work
I remember house (cardboard, paint & tack-it) I-III.
